A week has went by so I thought it was time to give an update. This is a big update for me. A couple of things happened over the past week.
I fixed my gaming computer. Turns out all it needed was a new power supply. I found one pretty cheap on the Internet. $17.99. It might be cheap but it is 550 watts and it runs my PC just fine. No more loaner PC for me. The one I had was just so old but I am glad I had it for the moment, as it allowed me to purchase the power supply.
I currently have 361 page views for the 9 days it has counted. That is almost 40 page views a day on average. I need around 54 page views a day on average to attain my goal. However something happened today. I had submitted 3 articles for up-front payments. I received an email today letting me know one of them was declined for up-front. My morale was shot but I went on to publish it as a Display Only. Later on I received another email saying that an offer has been made. They are willing to pay me $3.53 for one of the articles, then another one about an hour later for $3.00. This made me very happy and raised my morale through the roof.
I had a very good weekend. I'm back to being able to play games and have a fast computer to do my work on. Faster computer makes researching things easier. Especially when you need to read from one page and type on another. Windows 7 helps me do that. That is for sure. I had Windows XP on the loaner PC and it had Microsoft Word on it. I wrote all of my stuff using that so now I am used to it. I will be getting it for Windows 7 because I don't like the Word that it comes with much. Not enough features and no spell check.

January's End
Well the month of January is over. I have been writing since my birthday, which was on the 21st. I managed to pull in 689 page views on my articles. That makes my estimated performance balance at around $1.03. Not bad if I don't say so myself. Only 10 days of writing and roughly around maybe 4 hours of research and writing was put into them.
I didn't really have a goal set for the month of January, I kind of just jumped back into writing without setting any goals for the month. Plus the month was about over anyways. I did manage to get 3 new fans. Doesn't make much of a difference, but it still helps knowing people want to continue to read my work.
My clout level reach 60% into the next rank, still sitting at rank 4. I need 2175 more page views to get to the next rank, based on page views alone. I also get a bonus of 1% per article that I produce. While this helps some, its not helping as much as I would like it to, but I don't have that many articles published yet. I do have 20 articles at the moment, so my bonus should be at 20%, which is not all that bad.
I will be setting goals for February. I will post them later on today odds are.

Not To Be A Googlemonger....But
Well when making a game I know you have tons of game material that you use. Different formulas and big lists of items. Well I was thinking of getting some type of software to use. Excel or Word, something of that sort. When I remembered that Google had a document service. I looked further into it and and came the the conclusion that it will suit my needs just fine.
With the regular document I can write a storyline and then just copy and paste all from with my browser. I also have made about 5 spreadsheet covering my items and I am even using one as a way track my expenses since it is just me working and not much money is coming in or out at the moment. So for now it will suffice. Thanks again Google for making something I can use!
