I haven't been writing much for !Yahoo/AC this month. Not that I have been slacking off but I have been hooked on NBA 2K11 for a little while now. I checked my page views over the past month to see then plummet to around 4-5 page views a day. Not top of the line by any means. Slowly adding to my total of view. My clout level is now at 97% of the way to being clout level 5. It adds no bonus or more per 1000 views. Just the fact of getting it alone is great for me. A sense of achievement for myself. Don't take it the wrong way, I would love to be at level 10 right now, and pulling in a couple thousand views a day. Yet at my writing level and time spent writing, I am not up to par with those types of articles. I guess they are out of my league for the time being.

February Update : Day 10
A week has went by so I thought it was time to give an update. This is a big update for me. A couple of things happened over the past week.
I fixed my gaming computer. Turns out all it needed was a new power supply. I found one pretty cheap on the Internet. $17.99. It might be cheap but it is 550 watts and it runs my PC just fine. No more loaner PC for me. The one I had was just so old but I am glad I had it for the moment, as it allowed me to purchase the power supply.
I currently have 361 page views for the 9 days it has counted. That is almost 40 page views a day on average. I need around 54 page views a day on average to attain my goal. However something happened today. I had submitted 3 articles for up-front payments. I received an email today letting me know one of them was declined for up-front. My morale was shot but I went on to publish it as a Display Only. Later on I received another email saying that an offer has been made. They are willing to pay me $3.53 for one of the articles, then another one about an hour later for $3.00. This made me very happy and raised my morale through the roof.
I had a very good weekend. I'm back to being able to play games and have a fast computer to do my work on. Faster computer makes researching things easier. Especially when you need to read from one page and type on another. Windows 7 helps me do that. That is for sure. I had Windows XP on the loaner PC and it had Microsoft Word on it. I wrote all of my stuff using that so now I am used to it. I will be getting it for Windows 7 because I don't like the Word that it comes with much. Not enough features and no spell check.

February Update: Day 3
With three days under my belt into February, I have notched in 80 page views. Running behind schedule a bit, but I put in 3 articles on the 4th. I did one on the Top 5 Signs to Get a New Computer, in the morning time. For lunch I did a movie review on the action movie The Mechanic. Right before I ate my dinner I finished up a 2 page article about the 10 Reasons to Dislike a Cell Phone.
I still have 3 pending articles that I submitted for up-front pay. I have not received any notifications about it yet ether. Nine days have passed since submitting them. !YCN/AC says that the process normally takes about 1-2 weeks. So I sit and wait.
Not to get discouraged though. I have 24 more days this month. However if I maintain a strong work ethic and a positive attitude, everything should be ok. As the day ticks over into the 5th day of February, I await until the morning time again, to see how many page views I obtained on the 4th.

February Goals
February I will try to spend at least 5 days a week writing something. I need to set a goal for this month. Something that I can expect myself to fulfill. I don't want to set my goal to high though. I guess just go from what I done last month. Though I don't exactly know what I should set them at. I only wrote for 10 days last month. I will start small this month so I don't feel bad at the start if I don't reach my goal.
Page Views = 1500
I choose 1500 because I obtained almost 700 in 10 days. I think 1500 should be obtainable goal to reach with full 28 days at hand.
Articles = 40
I have 20 now. 40 shouldn't be so hard to get. With 28 days to write, that would amount to 1 a day for 20 days, with 8 days of not writing. 8 days to not write is cake. I might even write on the off days, to see if I can surpass my goal.
Goals are set. Lets see how well I fair.

January's End
Well the month of January is over. I have been writing since my birthday, which was on the 21st. I managed to pull in 689 page views on my articles. That makes my estimated performance balance at around $1.03. Not bad if I don't say so myself. Only 10 days of writing and roughly around maybe 4 hours of research and writing was put into them.
I didn't really have a goal set for the month of January, I kind of just jumped back into writing without setting any goals for the month. Plus the month was about over anyways. I did manage to get 3 new fans. Doesn't make much of a difference, but it still helps knowing people want to continue to read my work.
My clout level reach 60% into the next rank, still sitting at rank 4. I need 2175 more page views to get to the next rank, based on page views alone. I also get a bonus of 1% per article that I produce. While this helps some, its not helping as much as I would like it to, but I don't have that many articles published yet. I do have 20 articles at the moment, so my bonus should be at 20%, which is not all that bad.
I will be setting goals for February. I will post them later on today odds are.

Income Low with Spirits on the Rise
In about a week I am at around $0.85. Not bad considering it didn't take me long to write the articles. I did the research on them, but that was during my normal scouring the web on the daily.
Still haven't picked up any DIGGs on my work yet. I had an impressive two days with an this article about Random Drug Testing for People on Public Assistance. Getting 309 views in just 2 days. My most impressive work yet.
The only article I have as of right now that beats it is my Where to Donate Christmas Toys in Lexington, Kentucky article. With a total of 1591 views.

Graph of Insperation

Upon logging into my account where I write at. I noticed that I had received a large amount of page views to an article I have. This made me happy. The graph showed a big increase in over all views which made me realize a few things
My work must be getting better because more people are reading it. I guess the saying goes "practice makes perfect", but in this case its true. I would normally only have major hits based on seasonal articles and not just up to date articles.
I am getting into the groove of writing now. Trying to get at least one thing out a day. Ether trying for an up-front payment or just going the display only route. I put in 2 for up-front to see if I could even come close to getting it. I have never done it so I have my fingers crossed.
